Description

This wine originates from the limestone-rich soils of our Cave Spring Vineyard, located on a terrace of the Niagara Escarpment overlooking Lake Ontario, known as the Beamsville Bench. Produced from the oldest, lowest-yielding vines at the estate, our CSV wines embody our highest commitment to quality and authenticity. 

The nose is broad and nuanced, exhibiting perfumed aromas of musk melon, star anise, savoury herbs and white flowers, yet with an earthy hint of wet stone. The palate is dry and medium bodied, featuring a piquant, limey note up front, a firm yet weighty mid-palate bristling with yellow grapefruit and a long, stony finish. A tight thread of acidity stitches together the body and fruit from start to finish.
